The Choral Department at Dunlap Community High School is comprised of seven performing ensembles. These ensembles include the Master Chorale, the Women’s Chorale, the Concert Choir, the Madrigals, the Court Singers, the Men’s Octet “T.B.A.”, and the Show Choir. The Master Chorale is the advanced performing choral ensemble at Dunlap High School. Members of the DHS Choral Department have performed in New York City at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Ellis Island, Ground Zero, and the United Nations Building. Past tours have included Toronto, Washington D.C., and Cincinnati. Locally our students have entertained at “Yule Like Peoria”, Three Sisters’ Park, Luthy Gardens, the Race For The Cure, various church gatherings, Green View Nursery, as well as other businesses and nursing homes in the greater Peoria area. A committed, diverse group of students, they represent and are active in all extra curricular activities offered at DHS. The Dunlap High School Choirs recently performed at the Old North Church, Harvard, and Harborfest in Boston, MA, during the summer of 2009, and are looking forward to a Colorado Springs Tour in June of 2012.
